Renee Shaffer Obituary

SHAFFER Renee Shaffer, 51, passed away March 6, 2006 at the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital in Columbus. She was born February 25, 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of Lois (Finlayson) Parobeck and the late Daniel Parobeck. Renee was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Columbus and was employed by Mount Carmel East and West Medical Centers in Columbus. She was a dedicated nurse who put her heart and soul into her profession. She is survived by her husband, Randy (Rude) Shaffer of Baltimore; two sons, Brian Shaffer and Derek Shaffer, both of Baltimore; three sisters, Sandra (George) Henderson of Baltimore, MD, Dr. Deanna Parobeck (David Kadetz) of Cincinnati and Virginia Parobek of Cleveland; many nieces and nephews; and two dear friends, Maurin Komivez and Alexis Waggoner. Renee will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers Daniel and Michael Parobeck. Friends may call Thursday March 9, 2006 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME, Lancaster. A Memorial Service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Peters Lutheran Church in Lancaster, with the Reverends Carl Rayburn and Emil Klatt officiating. Inurnment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
