Catherine V. Calderone

CALDERONE (Romas) Catherine V. Calderone, age 82, born April 10, 1927, died July 17, 2009. Preceded in death by loving husband Louis P. Calderone, parents Joseph and Angelina (Montenaro) Romas, and brother Marion Romas. Survived by uncle, Joe Montenaro; sisters, Gilda Savko and Marguerite Moro; brother-in-law, John (Becky) Calderone; and sister-in-law, Ann Calderone; her 4 loving children and spouses, son, David (Edna) Calderone; daughters, Nancy (Cameron) James, Kathy (Thomas) Sochor, and Tess (Timothy) Galvin; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and close friends, Terry and Bobbie Rodeman. Catherine retired from the Catholic Diocese of Columbus, where she served under Bishops Herman and Griffin. Catherine was a longtime member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, past member of the St. Andrew Women's Club, and was active in the Columbus Cursillo Movement (Cum Christo) participating in the Women's 4th Cursillo. Friends may call TUESDAY, July 21, 2009 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 4-8 p.m., with Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. on WEDNESDAY, July 22, 2009 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 1559 Roxbury Road. Interment will follow at the Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 North High Street, Lewis Center, Ohio.
