Paul James Leahy Jr.

LEAHY Paul James Leahy, Jr., age 96, died Thursday, August 8, 2012 at the Inn at Olentangy Trail in Delaware, Ohio. He was born in 1916 to Dr. Paul and Olive Leahy. He graduated from Tiffin Calvert High School, Class of 1934 and from the University of Notre Dame, Class of 1938. Paul married Lily Fogleman, who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by two brothers Maurice and Dr. John Leahy. Paul is survived by one brother, Dr. Richard (Marjorie) Leahy of Highland Ranch, CO. He is also survived by his seven children, Michael (Judy) Leahy of Lehigh Acres, FL; Patricia (Don) Coleman of Columbus, OH; David (Francis) Leahy of Bethlehem, PA; Paul (Judy) Leahy, III of Norco, CA; Margaret (Don) Riley of Del Ray Beach, FL; Sally (Jerry) Gase of St. John's FL; and Dr. Larry Leahy of Pittsburgh, PA; and his 25 grandkids; 51 great-grandkids; and six great-great-grandkids. Paul was an avid golfer and was a member of the Elks. He belonged to the Blendon Senior Center in Westerville, OH and was a parishioner of St. Joan of Arc Parish where he enjoyed playing bridge. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by The Reverend Jeffrey E. Tigyer at 10 a.m. SATURDAY, AUGUST 18, 2012 at ST. JOAN OF ARC CATHOLIC CHURCH, 10700 Liberty Rd., Powell, OH 43065 where family will welcome friends before the Mass beginning at 9:30 a.m. Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary Cemetery, Tiffin, Ohio.
