Gibney Jack Turner Gibney, age 82, of Upper Arlington, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Kobacker House. He was born April 10, 1935 in Columbus, Ohio to the late John J. and Geneva M. (Erler) Gibney. Jack attended Ohio University and The Ohio State University; was an employee with The Kroger Company, retiring after 47 years of service as Associate Grocery Merchandiser, Columbus Marketing Area; active involvement in community affairs: member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, past board member and chairman of the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, past board member, treasurer, and president of the Centennial Kiwanis Club and past board member of Northwest Kiwanis Club, 50 year member of Neoacacia Masonic Lodge, board member of HomeReach Hospice, volunteer board, development board and longtime Riverside Hospital and HomeReach Hospice volunteer. Jack was the manager of The Jack Gibney Endowment - Mid-Ohio Food Bank and The Jack Gibney Community Grief Endowment - HomeReach Hospice / Ohio Health Foundation. He is survived by relatives, friends and associates. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 8, 2017 at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1088 Thomas Lane, Columbus, Ohio 43220; with visitation one hour prior. Fr.
