I am so saddened to now see news of Linda's passing last year. My memories of Linda go back to when she was a sweet, kind teenager. I could see then her incredible love of animals. I have several friends affiliated with Ohio State who shared with me through the years a little of Linda's incredible success. Sadly, I am only now learning of her passing but clearly we all know Linda's spirit lives on, For me, she will always live on in my memory of that kind, sweet teenage girl who was always so nice to me. Lisa, Mrs. Lord, please accept my heartfelt sympathy on Linda's passing. May God bless and comfort you.

I just learned of her passing when I started a literature search of her work. What a great loss to the humane field! Ohio is in desperate need of more people like Linda Lord. Needless to say, she has crossed the Rainbow Bridge and is enjoying the interaction of her family, friends and animals!

I was stunned to hear of Linda's passing. We shared similar professional interests and graduated at the same age from vet school during the same year. She will be greatly missed for her care, compassion, dedication to the profession, overall welfare and straight-forward style. My heart goes out to her family.

Thank you Linda for being such a comfort and a friend when DJ died - for being there for the students, coming to Va Beach beach for his memorial and being a friend to our family. May your legacy live on - we love you Linda. Tell DJ we miss him but are glad the two of you can enjoy being together in peace.

My family grieves for this loss...Dr Lord drove from Ohio to Virginia just to say a few poignant words at my son's funeral...this is Linda's legacy, caring so much about others! May her family always realize that her life was an example to so many...I pray that God will give them peace and comfort...
