Jack GORASH Obituary
June 4, 1954 – October 10, 2017
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Jack.
With family at his side, he passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer.
Jack will be forever missed by his wife and soul mate of 43 years, Barb.
He will forever be remembered and loved by his daughter Allyson and son-in-law Jason; mother Kay Gorash; sister Judy (John) Megill; mother-in-law June Oppelt; sisters-in- law Debbie Oppelt and Cathy (Dennis) Wiun; nieces and nephews Jennifer (Justin), Brenden, Kurtis, Izabella, and great-nephew Emerson. He was loved by so many, and will be missed by many other family and friends.
Jack was predeceased by his father Dave Gorash and father-in-law Robert Oppelt.
We would like to acknowledge the dedication and kindness of the doctors, nursing teams, and support staff at the Cross Cancer Institute. We would also like to thank the compassionate doctors and nurses on the A Side of the Emergency Department at the Royal Alexandria Hospital.
There will be a Celebration of Life held on October 17, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton, AB. Casual attire.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cross Cancer Institution, 11560 University Avenue Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2.
