I met your mother a decade ago. It had a permanent impact on me. I looked at art differently, appreciated color more fervently and used a different lense to interpret landscapes. My home is filled with her work and they make me smile each and everyday. How lucky we all are to have had her skip thru our lives. If there are any of her works available for purchase, I would be most grateful for any information to help me locate them...I so, so love the spirit and message each piece carries.

Deeply saddened to hear of this most generous and kind woman's passing. It was so special to get to know her as an artist while admiring her art. She was so kind and giving of her time and understanding of "us amateurs" who could only appreciate what she had created and hope to share in it by owning a piece of her work. We visited her home and her workspace several times, and she was as open to us as she was a dear friend. Once, while I was trying to decide to purchase a painting, I asked if I may photograph it and send it to share before buying. Many artists I have known would be appalled by someone photographing their work without purchasing it first. Leslie was so gracious and said...."I don't mind. If someone thinks its so easy to do what I do by copying a photograph, then they are welcome to try." Class.

So sorry to hear of Leslie's passing. She was my art teacher from 1st grade through 12th grade at Hustisford Schools. She was a great art teacher. She took our class on a field trip to MIAD one year. I eventually ended up going to MIAD and became a Graphic Designer. I have been a graphic designer for nearly 20 years. Leslie made a huge impact on my life and career, showing me that I could accomplish my dreams. She will be missed.
