Joyce Antoinette Scheer, 88, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the Hospice Home of Hope. She was born on March 7, 1929 to the late Joseph and Marion (Van Lanen) Angst in Green Bay.

Joyce was an amazing woman who was loved dearly by her family and friends. She will be best remembered for her kindness and acceptance. She loved to make people feel special and could turn even the simplest occasion into a party. She could find the good in everything and even in the toughest of times would tell others what a lucky person she was.

Those who knew her are lucky as they can hold onto her memories and truly carry on her joyous spirit. She is survived by her children, Kathy (Joel) Hopper, Steve (Julie) Scheer, Judy (John) Cirilli, Tom Scheer and Sue (Bruce) Wagner; eight grandchildren and their spouses and eight great-grandchildren; her brothers, Jim Angst, John Angst, Roger (Barb) Angst and brother-in-law, Tony Balza. She is also survived by her sister-like friend, Rose Randall.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Loren Scheer; her friend and traveling companion, Donald White; sisters, Alice Van Schyndle, Grace Balza and a brother, Roland Angst.

Visitation: Joyce's family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Holy Family Church, 271 4th Street Way in Fond du Lac.

Service: A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday following the visitation at 11:00 AM. Joyce had wished to have her body donated to the UW-Madison for science.

In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity would be appreciated, especially to the Hospice Home of Hope, their staff's kindness and care was greatly appreciated.
