Robert N. Gahagan, 79, of Fond du Lac, died on Friday, January 16, 2026, at SSM St. Agnes Hospital. He was born on October 9, 1946, in Plymouth, the son of Henry and Clariss “June” (Phelps) Gahagan. Robert was raised in Glenbeulah, WI, and attended Glenbeulah Grade School and graduated from Elkhart Lake High School in 1964. In his early years, he was a member of St. Fridolin’s Parrish, Glenbeulah, where he served as an altar boy. Robert served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 – 1969 and was a proud Vietnam veteran. He was employed for many years with the Damrow Company and Mercury Marine before his retirement. He enjoyed sudoku, cribbage, gambling, fishing, and doting on his grandchildren.
He is survived by a son, Brian; daughter, Brenda; four grandchildren, Kaitlin, McKenna, Dylan, and Mabel;
brother, Terry; sister, Gail; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Clariss; two sisters, Linda and Kathy; and two brothers, Dennis and Brian.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Robert’s name to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
