DILLON — Funeral services for Frank James Ray will be held Monday December 15, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. in Dillon Congregational Holiness Church with burial in Rest Haven Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 Sunday in Cooper Funeral Home.

Mr. Ray, 88, died Friday at his residence after an illness.

Born in Marion County, August 24, 1920, he was the son of the late James Ray and Sarah Caulder Ray. He was the widower of the late Zola Gerald Ray. He was a charter member of Dillon Congregational Holiness Church where he served as a deacon, was a retired farmer, and had retired from Burlington Industries.

Survivors include his daughters, Sarah (Rev. John) Bryant and Kathryn (Tom) Turner of Dillon; sons, James Earl Ray of Latta and Rodney (Teresa) Ray of Wadesboro, N.C.; 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Annie Ruth Threadgill.

Memorials may be made to McLeod Hospice, 1203 E. Cheves Street, Florence, S.C.

The family would like to thank the following care givers for their love and care of our father: Lois Miller, Annie Bell Bailey, Nancy Hodges, Judy Martin, and Van Benson.
