Arthur J. "Butch" Brager
October 31, 1941 - February 10, 2021
Fresno, California - Arthur J. Brager was born in Fresno, CA on October 31, 1941, and went home to heaven at the age of 79 on February 10, 2021. He was the first child born to Arthur J. Brager and Lucy Brager. He graduated from San Joaquin Memorial High School and received his A.A. Degree in Business from Fresno City College. After graduating from Fresno City College, he joined the United States Army and served in San Francisco and Germany before returning to the United States to start a family and career. Butch began his career with Guarantee Savings & Loan holding positions of increasing responsibility before retiring at the age of 55 after over 30 years with Guarantee Savings.
He raised three children, David, Jeff, and Jimmy, and was actively involved in their lives, and enjoyed attending their various sporting activities and important events. He was an avid softball player having played softball actively until the age of 72. He had a great sense of humor and loved spending time with his family and friends. He also had a love of collecting and we would even say "hoarding" many things such as baseball cards, coins, and antiques.
He is survived by his partner of 35+ years, Sue McCombs, and his three sons, David Brager and his wife Kerry along with their three children, Mason, Drew, and Layne Brager; Jeff Brager; Jimmy Brager and his wife Julie along with their two children, Wyatt and Weston Brager. He is also survived by his brother, Jim Brager and wife Linda, along with many cousins, nieces, and a nephew.

Shaw Ave, Ste 101, Fresno, CA 93711. A Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on February 25, 2021 beginning at 9:00AM. The service will also be livestreamed through their website: holyspiritfresno.org. A private interment will be at St. Peter's Cemetery.
