Dennis Lezzer Obituary

Dennis E. "Denny" Lezzer, 71, of Clearfield, and formerly of Curwensville, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021 at his residence after a lengthy illness.

Born April 15, 1950 in Clearfield, he was the son of Elmer and Jean (High) Lezzer. He retired from Lezzer Lumber in Curwensville as the purchasing manager. He was a graduate of Curwensville Area High School and received his Bachelor's Degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he was a member of the ROTC.

He was a member of the Curwensville Presbyterian Church where he had served as a Trustee, Deacon, and Sunday School teacher. He was a member of Noble Lodge #480 F. & A. M. in Curwensville, was a member of the Clearfield Shrine Club's Oriental Band, the Coudersport Consistory, the Jaffa Shrine in Altoona, and the Royal Order of Jester Court #70 in Altoona.

He also belonged to the Ganado Stock Club, the Greenwood Hunting Club where he had served as a past President and current Secretary/Treasurer, the Oak Hill Cemetery Board of Directors, the Clearfield-Curwensville Country Club, and several other organizations throughout the years.

On February 21, 1998 in Curwensville, he wed the former Susan F. Reiter who survives along with a daughter Alicia Wischuck and husband James of Curwensville, 3 step-children: Holly Tkacik and husband John of Curwensville, Heidi Bloom and husband Andy of Clearfield, and Charles ""Chip"" Banas and wife Wendy of Duncansville, as well as Ten Grandchildren and a sister Susan Howell and husband Dick of Curwensville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Austin Tkacik, and a brother Richard Lezzer.

Funeral Services for Dennis E. ""Denny"" Lezzer, will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Saturday October 16, 2021 at 1:00 PM, with Reverend Daniel Osterhout and Pastor Gary B. Jewart co-officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Curwensville.

Friends and Family will be received at the Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until time of Services at 1:00 PM. A Masonic Memorial Services will be conducted by members of the Curwensville Noble Lodge #480 F. & A.M. at the convenience of the family.

The family suggests memorial Contributions be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children * Attn. Memorials,1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505.
