Lewis James (Jim) Taylor

San Angelo - Lewis James (Jim) Taylor passed away 4/28/2021. He was born in Laredo, Tx on 2/14/1941 to Lewis Charles Taylor and Doris Palmer Smith. He attended school in Laredo through the middle of his junior year and then moved to Big Lake where he graduated from Big Lake High School in 1959. He served in the Army from 12/1963 - 11/1969. Jim worked for Strain Bros. Construction, attended Angelo State College, and made his career with Ethicon, Inc. from 1972 to 1994.

Jim cherished his family and enjoyed the outdoors with hunting, archery, and camping especially in the mountains of Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his sisters Lynn Neilson and Ellen Walsman. He is survived by wife Jan, daughter Cassandra Simmons and husband Brad (children Addison, Kylie and Zac); son Lewis Charles (Chuck) and children Jamie and Abby, and son James Robert (Bobby) and wife Olivia.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to your favorite charity or Hospice of San Angelo.
