Nancy Duerr Obituary
Nancy A. Duerr, 49, Green Bay, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2011, from ALS. She was born on Nov. 22, 1961, in Green Bay, to Bernard and Marge (DeVleeshower) Calaway. Nancy graduated from East De Pere High School in 1979. On Feb. 16, 1985, she married Paul S. Duerr. Prior to her illness, she was the Office Manager for the Brown County Medical Examiner. Nancy enjoyed playing volleyball, watching football games with her family, participating in 5K runs and several Bellin Runs.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Paul, Green Bay; their children, Corey and Casey Duerr, Green Bay; parents, Bernard and Marge Calaway, De Pere; brothers, Tom Calaway, De Pere; Joseph (Kelly) Calaway, Howard; sisters, Mary Stein, Cindy Willems, Anne Hermanson, all of De Pere; Cathy (Chuck) Zuleger, Appleton; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Henry and Elizabeth Calaway, and Joseph and Helen DeVleeshower; brother-in-law, Tim Willems.
Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial service 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Ron Belitz officiating. Inurnment will take place at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established.
Nancy's family would like to thank Anne Hermanson, Cathy Zuleger and Julie Freis for all of their care and concern.

I just learned Nancy passed away yesterday. My heart and thoughts go out to her family. I was an intern at her place of employment and truly enjoyed working with her. She was such a wonderful person with a great sense of humor. She will be dearly missed!

I just learned of Nancy's passing today. My prayers and heart goes out to her family. I have many fond memories of Nancy in our early High School years. Although I have not seen her in many years she looks the same as I remember her. Beautiful. So sorry for your loss.

So sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. Although I haven't seen her since high school I have fond memories of her. Her wit, extreme honesty and spunky behavior made me laugh. A very large loss to all who knew Nancy. I can not tell you it gets easy soon. I can not tell you the tears stop. I can tell you through time the tears are joined by laughter and wonderful memories of the life you shared. Her spirit with always be close. Nancy, you were one of those people who had it all, brains, beauty, and so much more. I left De Pere shortly after high school but will always remember the fun we had in those formative years. Just a beginning, yes, but memories that have stood the test of time. How lucky I am to have known you, how sad I am for your family. You are all in my prayers. Rest in peace Nancy.

When speaking to Nancy whether it be a morning break or passing on the elevator there never was a more positive person and always looked at the good in a person. She never was one to pity herself and just dealt with whatever God had in store for her. She will be sadly missed by her fellow workers who had the privilage to know her. We will miss her uplifting spirit.
