Donald K. Huot

Donald R. Huot, 79, devoted father and grandfather and beloved husband of Madeline (LaRose) Huot, of South Windsor, died Monday (November 4, 2002) at home. Born on May 11, 1923 in Holyoke, MA son of the late Hector and Clemencia (Isabelle) Huot he had lived in South Windsor for the last 39 years. Before retiring in 1987 he was employed by United Technologies/Pratt and Whitney Aircraft for 39 years. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of World War II, was a member of the Rockville Fish and Game Club and was a member of the Family Motor Coach Association. Mr. Huot was a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Church, South Windsor. Besides his wife Madeline he leaves five sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Bonnie Huot of South Windsor, Glenn and Donna Huot of Manchester, Jeff and Kimberly Huot of Granby, Jon and Donna Huot of Stratham, NH and Alan and Karen Huot of East Hartford; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan Huot-Singer and Donald Singer of Phoenixville, PA; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Roma Donais of Northampton, MA and Doris and George Schneyer of Stockbridge, MA; a step-brother Roger Robitaille of South Hadley, MA and two step-sisters, Doris and her husband George Beauregard of Holyoke, MA and Lucille Lyons of Wellesley, MA and 15 grandchildren. Family and friends may gather, Friday, 8:30 a.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 9:30 a.m., in St. Margaret Mary Church. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, South Hadley, MA. His family will receive friends, Thursday, 3-5 and 7-9 p.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home.
