Thomas Joseph Becker

Thomas Joseph Becker, 83, beloved husband of the late Joanne (Jazy) Becker, died peacefully on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at home, surrounded by his family. He was born in Bronx NY, on September 15, 1942, son of the late Francis and Nancy (Pannuto) Becker.

Tom grew up in Bronx, NY and was a graduate of the University of Connecticut. He served his country as a lieutenant in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1970. He met and married the love of his life Jazy, and they settled in South Windsor, CT. He worked as a Software systems engineer his whole career, first with IBM and later working for The Hartford Insurance Group. He retired in 2013.

Tom enjoyed astronomy, playing bridge, hiking, traveling, and later in life, attending events and making friends at the South Windsor Senior Center.

He leaves his two sons, Brian Becker and Eric Becker, two grandchildren, Camden, and Natalie Becker; two sisters, Elisa Busque, and Maureen Curtin (Jim) and friend and companion, June Eccher.
