Steve Robinson

1950 - 2018

Jan. 11, 1950 - Sept. 8, 2018 Steve Robinson, 30 year resident of Arlington, WA, peacefully passed away September 8, 2018 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He was born to Robert and Ethel Robinson on January 11, 1950, in Vallejo, CA. His father was a career marine and he lived in many places before his father retired and they settled in Vista, CA. He began a career in law enforcement at age 23 with the Tukwila Police Depart-ment where he made his way up through the ranks to Assistant Chief, before accepting the job as Police Chief in Arlington in 1990. He retired in 2001 and taught Criminal Justice at Everett Community College. He was Chairman of the Snohomish County Children's Commission and an active member of Arlington Rotary and Smokey Point Community Church. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sue, daughter Kim Robinson Ramirez, Kevin Robinson, grand-children Joshua Robinson, Andrea Ramirez, Denali Robinson, Tomas Ramirez, siblings Don (Sandy) Robinson, Larry (Cathy), Robinson, Penny (Rod) Clemmer, Chuck (Annette) Robinson, and mother Ethel Robinson. He was proceeded in death by his father, Robert Robinson, and brother, Robert JR Robinson. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Smokey Point Community Church in Arlington. Because of his love for law enforcement, children and youth, donations can be made in his name to Arlington Dollars For Scholars PO Box 43, Arlington, WA, 98223, to establish a scholarship for an Arlington High School senior who will be pursuing a career in some aspect of public service. By far the most important aspect of Steve's life was his Christian faith. He is now in the eternal presence of God. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
