Carol Freytag Obituary
Royal Oak - Freytag, Carol (nee Brown), age 88, of Royal Oak, passed away June 5, 2018. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard H. Freytag, in 2007; her parents, Allen and Florence Brown; dear sister, Marjorie Near (Glenn); and nephew, Charles Near. Forever fondly remembered by niece, Sue Near (Bruce Bilsborrow); nephews, Eric Beier (Julie), Steve Beier (Ruth) and their adored children. Carol, fine jewelry artist, hobby gardener, world traveler, pillar of her family and valued leader of the First Congregational Church of Royal Oak, was proudly born and raised in Detroit. She was a patron of the arts, as well as, a long-standing member of the D.A.R. contributing to both regional and national historical societies. Cardinals Red, George and Gracie flitted past your window this morning. You were not home. You are singing forever in God's choir. Memorials appreciated to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Detroit Institute of Arts, the First Congregational Church of Royal Oak or to the donor's choice of charity. Arrangements by Wm.
