Margaret Steiner Obituary

Margaret Jean "Peggy" Crowley Steiner 79, born in Pittsburgh PA January 15, 1928, died August 5, 2007. She was preceded into the next life by her husband of 50 years, George Steiner, and her youngest daughter, Janet Crowley Steiner. Peggy is survived by her three children, Willy (Jan) of Park Ridge, IL, Fritzi Steiner of Nashville, TN, and Chris (Sally) of Indianapolis; nephew, Tim Zefflro (Amy) of Sewickley, PA; and grandchildren, Kathryn, Meg, Gus, George, Natalie and Lelia. She was a graduate of Carlow College in Pittsburgh. Peggy was a homemaker and lived in Pittsburgh, PA, Chicago, IL, Littleton, CO, Dallas, TX, and for the last 36 years, in Indianapolis. She enjoyed showing her standard Schnauzers, tending her roses, and her church life. She was a 36 year member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, a member of the American Kennel Club, and the Indianapolis Rose Society. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched. Services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 8 at Our Lady of Peace Mausoleum Chapel with visitation Tuesday, August 7 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center-Lawrence. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Vincent Hospice, 8450 N. Payne Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46268 or Carlow College, 3333 Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
