John Bugg Obituary
John W. Bugg, devoted husband to the love of his life Loretta "Freddi" (Bruzgulis) Bugg; proud and loving father of Sarah R. Bugg Duthie (Brett Kocian); Kathryn L. Bugg (Leonard Jukkala); and John "Jack" W. Bugg (Kaitlyn Bean). Devoted "Poppa" and "Grand Dude" to Charlotte, Leelyn, and Harper. Beloved son of Imogene (Adams) Bugg and the late Homer Stanley Bugg of Evansville, IN., and brother to Judith Osborne (Stephen), Bonnie Bugg (Bill Clark), and Steven Bugg, also of Evansville. He leaves behind beloved family in Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Washington D.C. and Indiana. John died September 23, 2016.
Born January 30, 1954, in Evansville, he graduated from Herron School of Art and Design in Indianapolis and built a successful advertising career in Lafayette, Ft. Wayne, Indianapolis, IN and Grand Rapids, MI before becoming Director at Crowe Horwath. He was a gifted artist and designer and Captain of "The Wench," the family's Albin trawler in Whitehall, MI. John will be greatly missed by his family, numerous friends and colleagues, and his devoted pug, Blingg.
Visitation will be Friday, September 30, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Gothic Chapel at Crown Hill Cemetery; service and blessing will be Saturday, October 1, at 12 noon in the Gothic Chapel, followed by a private burial for immediate family members. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in John's name be made to local animal shelters or the Herron School of Art and Design.
