Tara Heffelfinger Obituary
Tara L. Heffelfinger, age 70, of Winnebago, IL passed away Tuesday, February, 19, 2019 at Mercy Health Hospital in Rockford with her family by her side. She was born on August 5, 1948 in Freeport to the late Gordon and Charlene (Kuhlemeier) Frey. Tara was previously married to Terry Vogt.
She was a graduate of Shannon High School and worked as a phlebotomist for many years, starting with Dr. Hodes in Lanark then Forreston and ending with Rockford Health Systems. Tara was a member of the Shannon American Legion Auxiliary. She loved her dog, Cash. Tara loved her family, especially her granddaughters. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her Aunt Mardell Henze.
She is survived by her son, Tyler (Melissa) Vogt of Forreston, IL; her daughter, Tricia (Mick) Franklin of Winnebago, IL; her brother, Steve (Delores) Frey of Shannon, IL; her twin sister, Paula (LeRoy) Pilsner of Fort Wayne, IN; her granddaughters, Allison Franklin, Krista Franklin, and Jessica Franklin all of Winnebago, and Taylor Vogt, Marisa Vogt, and Hailee Vogt all of Forreston, IL, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Tara was preceded in death by her parents.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church in Shannon. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Brethren Cemetery in Shannon, IL. A memorial fund has been established. So sorry to hear of Tara's passing. Please know my thoughts and
prayers are with you all at this difficult sad time. We use to have
sooo much fun at Family Medical and when we went out dancin' and
listening to the bands. Hope your fond memories of her will always make you smile and lift your hearts.

So sorry to hear about Tara. I worked with Tara for many years, first at Family Medical Center and then Rockford Health System. We had many good times and laughs over the years. she was such a nice person, she will be greatly missed. My prayers are with her family.
