Elaine Newman Obituary
Elaine F. Newman, 70, of Hampton, IL passed away Wednesday April 21, 2021 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born March 19, 1951 in Sterling, IL the daughter of Willard and Irene (Duitsman) Stone. On June 23, 1990 she married Rex Newman in East Moline, IL. Elaine was employed at Paupers Den Bar and Grille for 20 years and later at Pepsi Cola of Davenport for 15 years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she was a member of the LWML. She was also a member of the Alter Guild and served as the Hampton Township Clerk. Elaine enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Rex; two daughters Holly (Randy) Krahmer and Kelly (Dan) Stott; and six grandchildren Christian Stott, Katee Bismark, Katherine Stott, Collin Bismark, Randy Krahmer and Max Krahmer. Preceding Elaine in death is her parents, sister Nancy and brother Tommy. A family service will be held Thursday April 29, 2021 at Forreston Grove Cemetery with Pastor Kent Umbager officiating. A memorial has been established in Elaine's memory.

Rex , My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Elaine was one of the sweetest ladies I've ever met. She always brought sunshine to a bad day at the office. She didn't need wings to get to heaven. She had them from the day she was born. She will be missed...

Elaine was an outstanding a terrific cousin. I remember her most when we were young. They lived on a farm and had a Hugh draft horse and her mom cooked on a large wood burning cook stove we always had so much fun at there place. My mom was a Dale and her uncle was Bill and my great Uncle. I would love to meet my family on the Newman side
