Donna A. Newman

Donna Ann Newman, 68, passed peacefully at home on January 6, 2026 in Columbus, Ohio in the midst of much love and caring from all who knew her. She was born in Tarrytown, New York and raised in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, with her parents Dean and Doris Newman and brother Don. She graduated from Penn State University in 1979 with a degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management that brought her to Ohio where she pursued a 30-year career with Ohio Health finishing as Director of Physician Recruitment.

Donna is survived by her fiancé, Anthony S. Worrall, his brother Robert Worrall, and sons Anthony Worrall II (Maddie) with daughter Goldie, and Adam Worrall (Karly) with son Austin and daughter Addison, and her dog Tedi who she loved dearly. "DMa" will be sorely missed. Cousins Eric Zinn and Carter Zinn, and niece Cathy Strayer also survive Donna. Eric lovingly provided critical support to Donna throughout her life as Donna did for him.

Predeceased include father, Dean Newman (2008), mother, Doris Newman (2020), and brother, Don Newman (2016).

Donna had many interests and gave generously to her local community, but it was her unfailing optimism, joyful sense of fun, thoughtfulness, and love of life that best defined her truly special soul. In so many ways, she brought out the best in all of us.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at the Park of Roses Shelter House (3901 N High St, Columbus OH 43214) on Donna's birthday, March 20th 2026 from 4-7 pm. Friends and family are invited to stop by to visit and share memories.

In lieu of flowers, please direct donations to Pelotonia, the annual "Ride to Fight Cancer" that has raised over $339 million dollars for cancer research.
