To the family and friends of Derwin Tucker. I knew Derwin at BHS and loved watching that exciting championship team of which he was such a big part. He was a great person and although I did not keep up with him later after BHS, that does not diminish the loss we all feel. But he left a great legacy for his kids and friends to cherish. Peace

To The Tucker Family,
Derwin was a great man. He was a friend to my husband Jerry and me. My greatest memory was when he offered to keep me mind for pickup work around his office during my unemployment journey. God used him to teach me a great lesson about discovering who your real friends are when you have nothing.

I met Derwin a couple of times, and spoke with him for a while at our football banquet this year in November. We had commonalities, with my dad also playing for the Rams. I had the pleasure of coaching his son Jordan at Roswell High Football this past season. His character will live on in Jordan, who is one of the most genuine and respectable boys I have ever coached.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Derwin's passing. We graduated together from Bethel. He was the class clown of our government class. I can still see his big smile that lit up the room when he would walk in class late and make up some of the funniest excuses as to why he was late. I shall never forget the one about the tree. I pray God's comfort and peace to all of the family and friends.

This witness, in the main, the Peninsula's treasure trove of standout athletes . . . the mere sighting of the name, Derwin Tucker, and yesteryear flooded my consciousness. Oh, the players on that team . . . names that still resonate.
What a resolute joy the Bethel HS family surely experienced. As your relatively still new school and state champions! And encore performances . . .
My heartfelt condolences to the Tucker family. And may the fullness of your son's life offer an enduring balm.

To the Tucker Family, especially the children. Your son and father was a wonderful person. After all these years, I can still remember The Smile. We all have our appointed time. We need to be ready; get your house in order, he went peacefully in his sleep and he will be missed. The memories will ease the pain but it will take time. However, know that all hou have to do is Call on the Name of Jesus and he will see you through.

To the Family of Derwin Tucker:
Please accept my heartfelt condolence at the news of his passing. Although I did not know him extremely well as others, in his senior year at BHS I was a sophomore (Class of 1977) who was in awe of his presence and most beautiful smile. It would just warm my soul and make me melt whenever he acknowledged me and spoke. I will never forget him or the simple pleasantries that we would exchange.
May you find comfort in the loving memories that you have of him, and know that your family is surrounded by the love of many. Again, you have my deepest sympathies. God Bless.

we are so saddened to learn of another fabulous Bethel Bruin gone too soon. Derwin's smile always lit up a room; his football and basketball ambitions were always set high, and he never disappointed. Although we lost touch with Derwin after his graduation, we followed his career and know that there are many many people who feel the loss of their relative and friend. Derwin will be missed.

Hello Tucker Family we know it seems so hard to experience the lost of a son or a brother. I would like for you all to know, this passed Thanksgiving, I was on the phone with a childhood friend, and I was ask to hold on. And what do you know Derwin Tucker phoned in during the course of our conversation, in which he was added. Derwin always thought about others, and at the close of our conversation he said tell your family hello for me, which I did. It had been a while since the last time we spoke last. I grew up in the same neighborhood with Derwin and his brother Shelton. Derwin is now in the Arms of GOD and will be greatly missed. We love you all and we are praying. William Benton Jr & the Benton family.
