Frances Hatmaker Obituary

HATMAKER, FRANCES - age 73 of Sharps Chapel, Tennessee, went to meet our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 3, 2009. She was surrounded by her loved ones during her illness. Her beloved husband of 55 years, Narvel Hatmaker, never left her side and provided her with such loving, tender care. He held her hand each night as she went to sleep. Their love is best described in Frances's own words as told to her daughters, "Your Daddy and I have been blessed with the love we have shared all these years. Not many people ever have that kind of love." She passed this love down to her daughters, Lisa Brantley and Debra Roe; special son-in-laws, Michael Brantley and David Roe; grandchildren, Jason Brantley, Kaitlyn and husband, Paul Lampkin, II, and Amber Lay; great grandchildren, Hunter J. Brantley, Tori Stovall, Skyler Ayers and Malakie Lay. We all never doubted her love. She showed us daily in many ways how very much she loved us. Frances is preceded in death by a beloved son-in-law, Michael Brantley; sisters, Bessie Rutherford, Cleo Brooks, and Loretta Gentry; mother and father, Mossie and Claude White. Survived by sisters and brother, Irene Pate, Edna Stooksbury, Bertha Foster, Trula Mantooth, Opal Smith, Frank White, Elvelean Stanley, Ella Dyer and Gail Hatmaker, loved brother-in-laws; nieces and nephews; best buddies, Mary and Red Headed Ruth. Special nurses, Anita and Ellen and a host of family and many special friends. Frances was a member of Chittums Chapel Baptist Church. Her church family was very supportive during her illness, providing her and her family with their prayers, their company and many meals. Frances loved to lift her voice in song in praise of the Lord. All who knew her will sadly miss her sweet voice, but heaven has surely gained the sweetest angel in the choir. Funeral service will be 8:00 pm, Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Rev. Jason Brantley, Rev. Jackie Cunningham and Rev. Burney Hutchinson officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home Sunday at 12:30 pm and proceed to Blue Springs Cemetery in Sharps Chapel for an interment service at 2:00 pm. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Friday and Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. www.mynattfh.com

Narvel, Debbie, Lisa and Families. We loved Frances more than we can describe. Narv and Frances have been like family to us since we met while Narvel and Lester were in the Army in 1958 at Ft. Hood,TX. Later, we were together in Germany and baby Debbie was with us. We have always had a close bond and our Christian Bond is the strongest of all. We know Frances is at rest and with our Heavenly Father. We appreciate all that each of you did during Frances's last illness. We are so thankful we got to spend time with her and the entire family during her surgery in September. We will continue to keep each of you in our prayers. We love each one of you. Narvel, Lisa, Debbie and family:
So sorry to hear about Frances. I know the times of her illness were hard. I know you all were with her every step and you have no regrets. That alone will be very comforting in the days ahead. You also knew the life your Mother lead and she is in the arms of Jesus now. There is nothing like a Mother. No words can take away the pain or sorrow. Just know that there are many people who love you and are praying for you. God Bless.

Love Always,
Michele and Michael Fleming
