Lennise Yvette Gillette was born on July 16, 1958 in Knoxville, TN and departed this life on Sunday, May 23, 2021.
Lennise worked at the University of Tennesee Hospital as a Registered Nurse.
Lennise is preceded in death by her Mother and Father; Curtis Sr.,(Mary Ruth Gillette); Grandchild Jamarion D. Gillette, Grandparents, and other relatives.
She leaves to cherish her memories, Daughter, Latonya Marcus, Latora (William) Ladd; 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; Sisters; Katherine Gillette, Ericka Gillette; Brothers, Curtis Gillette and Arnez Gillette; Aunts, Eugenia Strong and Sarah Fields, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too many to mention to include the Strong, Macon, Griffin, Blair families.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. with the Celebration of Life Service to begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Unity Mortuary Chapel. The final resting place will be held at Mt. Olive Cemetery immediately following the service where a dove release will conclude.
Ms. Gillette will lie in repose on Monday, June 14, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m at the Unity Mortuary Chapel.
