John Cannon Obituary
Westminster – John Thomas Cannon Jr., 39, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Born on December 19, 1986, in Oconee County, South Carolina, John was the son of the late John Thomas Sr. and Diane Lawing Cannon. John enjoyed spending his free time playing video games and playing with his beloved dogs. He was a man of the Christian faith.
John is survived by his brother, Johnathan Cannon; sisters, Julie Cannon (Jason Miller), Samantha Cannon (Justin McMahan), Tina Phillips (Ronald), Jennifer Cannon (Robert); nieces, Tiffany Smith (Bryan), Jessica Grace; great nieces, Diane Smith, and Skylinn Smith.
John is preceded in death by his parents.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, February 27, 2026, at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 -m to 11:00 am, prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home.
The family is at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials in John's memory may be made to Sandifer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 69, Westminster, SC 29693. Condolences may be expressed online by visiting www.sandiferfuneralhome.com.
