Rev. Donald Lee Padgett

Rev. Donald Lee Padgett, age 76, of Seneca, South Carolina, husband of Lynda Lynn Padgett, passed away at his residence on February 21, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on September 29, 1949, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Padgett and Angie Jean West Padgett. Rev. Padgett was a devoted servant of the Lord and a retired Baptist minister who faithfully shepherded congregations throughout his ministry. He served at Bullock Baptist Church in Bullock, North Carolina; Bethany Baptist Church in Gaffney, South Carolina; Tabernacle Baptist Church in Pelzer, South Carolina; and later as Director of Missions for the Broad River Baptist Association in Gaffney, South Carolina. He was a dedicated member of Crosspoint Church in Clemson, South Carolina.

Rev. Padgett is survived by his beloved wife, Lynda Lynn Padgett; his son, Kevin Padgett and wife, Jennifer, of Seneca, South Carolina; his daughter, Keelee Sherrer and husband, Todd, of Anderson, South Carolina; grandchildren, Will (Elizabeth), Leah, Andrew, Anna Sherrer, Mattie Dinkins (Asa), and Emma Padgett; and two great-grandchildren, James and William. He is also survived by his sisters, Sheila Kemp of Greer, South Carolina, and Angie Roddy of Woodruff, South Carolina.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Crosspoint Church.

The family is at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Rev. Padgett's memory may be made to Parsons Pantry, 262 Eastgate Drive, PMB #435, Aiken, SC 29803.
