KENNETH BURNSIDE

Seneca – Kenneth Rudolph Burnside, 80, loving husband of the late Linda Marie Burnside, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Belvedere Commons of Seneca.

Born on December 21, 1945, in Walhalla, South Carolina, Kenneth was the son of the late Charles Brandt and Olivia Collins Burnside. Kenneth was employed with Milliken for 41 years, where he faithfully served in the Maintenance/Waste Water Department at the Defore Plant. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and a dedicated member of the Seneca Masonic Lodge, #305. Kenneth was also a devoted member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

Kenneth is survived by his son, Robert Burnside of Seneca, SC; brothers, Earl Burnside of Anderson SC and John Burnside of Walhalla, SC. Kenneth is also survived by numerous, extended family and friends from Illinois, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Arizona.

In addition to his wife and parents, Kenneth is preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Marie Burnside; brothers, Gene Burnside, and William Burnside.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, March 7th, 2026, at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home.
