N. Winkless Obituary

October 12, 1959 - July 18, 2015 N. Brock Winkless IV, aged 55, passed away July 18th, 2015, after many years with MS. Long-time resident of the Los Angeles area, Brock's creativity and talents brought to life many iconic puppeteered characters and special effects for 20 years. He worked with such renowned Hollywood names as Stan Winston, Rick Baker and Kevin Yagher with credits including Child's Play, Terminator 2, and The Crypt Keeper. He is fondly remembered for his soft-spoken delivery, quick wit, sheepish grin and dry sense of humor that always kept everyone in stitches of laughter. His childhood was spent in both the San Francisco Bay area and Albuquerque, where he graduated from the University of New Mexico. He is survived by his father, Nelson B. Winkless III; sisters, Chantal Scott and Danielle Hill; brother, Garth Winkless; three nieces and one nephew. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, LA Chapter (www.jdrf.org) to help his recently diagnosed niece and others. Brock's friends and colleagues are welcome to join the public Facebook group "For the Love of Brock" to share stories and photos.
