Stephen T. Hika Jr., 72, of Cadogan, passed away on Sept. 17, 2016, at Allegheny Valley Hospital.
He was born on Feb. 28, 1944, in Kittanning to Stephen T. Sr. and Helen Phillippi Hika.
Steve worked as a technical manager at Moonlight Mushrooms until he retired. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the St. Lawrence Church in Cadogan.
He enjoyed fishing. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Ford City Eagles, American Legion in Cowansville and was a former member of the Latin American Club.
His survivors include a son, Stephen T. Hika III of Cadogan; grandchildren, Robert Dale Damore Jr. and Chelsea Lynn Hockenberry; and brothers, Mark and Beverly Hika of Worthington and Gregory and Patricia Hika of Kittanning.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Natalie Williams Hika; daughter Stacy Ann Hika; and brother Johnathan Michael Hika.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Mantini Funeral Home, 701 Sixth Ave., Ford City. Additional viewing will be held from 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home until the time of a prayer service at 12:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. at St. Lawrence Church in Cadogan with Father John Harrold officiating. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
