Robert Redfern Obituary
He was a member and deacon of Strawberry Plains Presbyterian Church. He was a computer consultant for many years, was very active in community services, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Alma Redfern.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryline Redfern; daughters, Karla, Konnie, Kristie, Deborah and Denise; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson.
Family will receive friends Monday, April 18 from 6 to 7 p.m. prior to the service. Memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday at Farrar Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Maxey officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice.

Robert Redfern Family, I and many others from our EC Glass High School Class of 1966 have been searching for him. Bob and I were friends and he attended DTI-VPI back in 1967 until he joined the Navy in 67/68. I lost track of him until now. Too late. I want the family know that I and many others miss him dearly. My condolences to yall. I am Alfred Thompson but as a kid my nick name was Fred Thompson. Steve and I were so sorry to read of Bob's passing. We had no idea he was doing so badly. We are out of town, but hope that we will be back to attend the service.
