Husband, Dad, Grandaddy, Father-in-law and friend. Norman was born on Jan. 15, 1938 in Chicago, IL. He was the youngest of three sons born to Robert Paul and Hazel Rosson. He departed this life on Sept. 6, 2010. Norman was preceded in death by his parents Robert Paul and Hazel Rosson, along with his brothers Kenneth and Robert Paul, Jr. Norman graduated from Wendell Phillips High School in Chicago, IL. He furthered his education by earning a Bachelor's degree from Howard University, in Washington, DC. He received his JD degree from DePaul University and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. His extensive banking career was in the field of Corporate Law in the Trust Services Department of several major companies in Chicago, where he held the title of Senior Vice President. He retired from First Bankers Trust in Quincy, IL. as Senior Vice President/ Trust Officer in the Spring of 2010. Norman was always interested in Jazz, Blues, Pop music and was an avid collector of LP's and 45's. He constantly exposed his children and grandchildren to all forms of music and faithfully tutored his grandchildren every Sunday morning as they practiced their music lessons. He never missed a Sunday visit with his grandchildren and attended every music recital, concert, parade and sporting event that they were involved in. His love of magic tricks was also shared with his grandchildren and he loved to show off his latest magic skills as he entertained them. Norman will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Gloria. He radiated a love of life and family, leaving behind are his three children from his first marriage to Frances Smith Rosson. The children from this union are Norman Taylor, Jr.(Chantelle), Lesley Rene'(Ted) and Todd Steven. His grandchildren: Norman Taylor,III, Marcus, Brianna, Brandon, Brooke, Leah, Lana, Denzel and Marrisa: Great Grandchildren: Julian and Miani: Father-in-law, Rowell L. Bolling; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
