Uncle Mickey was a good, kind uncle and a smart, funny man. He loved watching his kids play sports, hard rock music, and Sheboygan summer sausage from Wisconsin. This is such a big loss for our family. I miss my Uncle Mickey.

I am just in shock that Mickey is gone. My heart goes out to Jenny and Matt especially. I can't imagine what you two must be going through, I am so very sorry for your loss. It was obvious how much he loved his family, so cherish all of your precious memories and know that he will be missed by many.

Dad,
I can't believe you are gone. I miss you so much and hope that you are now at peace with your parents and Gary.
My best memories of you are from when Matt and I were kids and we'd all watch watch a concert on TV and you'd dance around the living room doing your 'rocker kicks' and playing air guitar. You were always the jokester and always had something sarcastic to say (I suppose I get my sarcasm from you ;)
I love you so much and don't know how I'm going to make it through all life's milestones without you guiding me along the way. My thoughts and prayers are with you forever.
Love, your little Squirt,
Jenny

My Uncle Mickey was a good man. He seemed to really enjoy when the family could get together. I'll always remember that he brought the "snausages". I can't believe our family lost my Dad (Gary) and Uncle Mickey, but know they are at peace and together. I can picture them now having a beer with Grandpa and Uncle F.O., laughing and having a great time.
We miss you.
Love from Debbie Pedersen (Gardner), Brad and the boys, Brandon, Dustin and Adam

Cindy, Jen & Matt,
I just wanted to let you know how sad Virginia and I were to hear about Mick's passing. Our thought and prayers are with you.
I first met Mick when we both worked at Hexcel making skis back in the mid 70's. From that point on it seems as though our paths would always cross, either running into Mick and Cindy at the grocery store, but mainly seeing Mick at the LHS gym or softball field.
I had the pleasure of watching Jen playing basketball and volleyball with my daughter, Jen Kerr, and since I helped coach LHS softball, I saw Jen's softball talent first hand. I also was able to watch many of Matt's basketball games. Your dad was always there to watch you. He had so much pride in both of you.
We will all miss Mick very much.

Cindy, Jennifer, and Matt,
My deepest condolences go out to you. I'm sure you know what a special part Mick was in our lives. I have had the opportunity to work closely with him for the last 9 years. When Cal Water implemented our new customer information and billing system he was an intricate part of our team. We experienced some stressful and trying times and Mick was the "rock" we all leaned on for his guidance and expertise. Mick had the ability to learn and understand our new system to such a high degree that our consultants (that were designing and implementing the new system) consulted him. He was a very important part of the Cal Water family and touched us in so many ways. I will miss him so much.

My cousin Micky is gone, but he won't be forgotten---I remember, us as kids, playing with cars & trucks in the dirt in Rio Linda, CA behind my Uncle John & Aunt Gladis' house. Micky was close enough in age to be my younger brother---I wish we could have seen each other more often, I will miss him---rest in peace Mick

Mickey, I'll always remember you as my cute little brother, with your red hair, freckles and big smile. You grew up to be a funny, good, and modest man, quietly proud of the accomplishments of Cindy, Jenny and Matt.
We lost you far too soon. All of us in the family love you and miss you terribly. May you rest in peace, dear brother.

Cindy, Jenny and Matt -
I am deeply sorry for your loss. Jenny and Matt - I feel like I know you. Your father was so proud of your accomplishments.
I too am a Geekette (CIS Functional Team at Cal Water) and have the biggest feet on our team, but still cannot fill Mick's shoes! None of us have his knowledge and every day is a struggle not only to try to perform the work that Mick did, but also to his high standards. I loved Mick's humorous side and recall thoughts of Mick's Friday Funnies when I need a smile and laugh.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

What a shock to read of Mick's passing! My thoughts and prayers go out to the Gardner family! I remember Mickey playing ball at Granada H.S; daughter Jennifer, a delightful, competitive young lady played VB for me at LHS, and was a stand-out softball player. It's hard for me to imagine Livermore without Mickey. He truly leaves a positive, everlasting impression on the entire community!

Dear Cindy, Jenny & Matt,
For the last 9 years Mick has been our Geek and I have been very fortunate to be one of his Geekettes. I can't begin to tell you what a monumental loss this is to our CIS Help Desk team. Every day Mick showed his dedication and intelligence without drawing any attention to himself. Of course his memory recall was awesome as well........I suppose this had to be in direct relation to his beautiful frontal lobes. Here is the photo we used with our Continuous Improvement project presentations from May 2006 to early 2008.
Lastly, please know that not only does my heart hurt because I miss Mick terribly, but I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Colette

Cindy, Jennifer and Matthew, We are so sorry to hear of Mickey's passing. We will always have fond memories of him, especially me, of our high school years together. Here are some words that might comfort you during this time of sorrow.
You'll never forget
your father's face.
the sound of his voice,
the strength and gentleness of his touch...
they let you know you were loved.
You'll never forget
the traditions he handed down,
the things he stood for...
they are his gift and your legacy.
You'll never forget,
and you'll always know
that you honor him every day
in how you live and who you are.
With our deepest sympathy, Susan, Virgil, Penny, & Dan Dahl
