Guadalupe Mireles Obituary

Guadalupe Paul Mireles, 68, a long time resident of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Friday, December 27, 2002 in a Corpus Christi hospital after a sudden illness. He was retired from the Texas Workforce Commission after 22 years of employment. He served in the U.S. Air Force for over 17 years. He was a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather. Paul was preceded in death by his Parents, Juan Mireles and Socorro Barbosa, and Sister, Janie Gassert. He is survived by his Wife, Tranquilina "Lina" Carrillo Mireles of Corpus Christi, Texas; his Mother-in-law, Maria Rosa Vaello Carrillo of Corpus Christi, Texas; three sons, Xavier Paul (Audra) Mireles of Germantown, Ohio, Rene Carlos Mireles of Corpus Christi, Texas and Adolph David Raymond of Austin, Texas; seven Daughters, Gwendolyn Petersen of Antioch, California, Grace (Ronald) Baldwin of Stowe, Ohio, Gale Martindale of Katy, Texas, Glenda Deller of San Angelo, Texas, Gay Pauline Jimenez of Houston, Texas, Dr. Veronica Armijo Mireles and Mac Garcia Jr. of San Antonio, Texas, Zelina Rose Raymond of Kingsville, Texas; three Sisters, Teresa Liscano of Houston, Texas, Margie Mireles of Houston, Texas and Estela (Julian) Aguilar of Corpus Christi, Texas; two Brothers, Julio (Janie) Mireles and Juan Mireles both of Phoeniz, Arizona; Sister-in-law, Elsie C. (Benito) Sanchez of Corpus Christi, Texas; Special Aunt & Uncle, Frances Vaello Martinez and Armando Martinez of Corpus Christi, Texas; and numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Nieces and Nephews. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 9:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 29, 2002 t the Garza Funeral Home in San Diego, Texas with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, December 30, 2002, at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church in Benavides, Texas with Father Epifanio Rodriquez as celebrant Military Graveside Services and Interment will follow at the Benavides Cemetery with the Benavides V.F.W. Post #8585 and the American Legion Post #405.
