Buddy and I were best friends for 34 years and the first day we met we became friends, There was nothing that Buddy wouldn't do for me and I was the same for him. We traveled a lot together and there was not a day went buy that we didn't talk sometime three or four times. I know I lost the big brother that I only had with Buddy. He was the inspiration that got me well after my sickness and the one that was with me at Nationals when I passed out. Every day will have void time for the friend I lost. I became family and having the pleasure of photographing both of the children weddings. May God always have a ticket for Buddy on the blue tour.

One of the proudest moments in my career was when I won Best of Show in my first professional competition. The judge: Buddy Stewart. 25 years later he was still judging and teaching. Our profession and all of us individually will miss Buddy.

When you met Buddy, you knew you had met a true southern gentleman. A great man who would rather help you than toot his own horn. Buddy's shoes cannot be filled. We are honored to have been among his countless friends.
Keep Grinnin' Buddy!

Buddy has been a great inspiration to me for many years. I cherish the time we spent sitting around at photography events just talking and sharing. He was NEVER too busy to answer a question or help someone. I will miss those times with him.
I was honored that he offered to be Convention Chairman for me the year I was PPMA president and of course, he did a GREAT job!
If there are steam locomotives in heaven, I won't have any trouble finding Buddy. He won't be far behind, looking for the perfect angle.

My wife took a week long class with him about 10 years ago, while I was next door taking a Clay Blackmore class. I never got to spend that kind of time with him, but did see him at every convention we held, at SEPPA, and various other events. He was always one I was glad to see. You always knew what you were going to get from Buddy; a great joke, a smile, encouragement. He could tear your competition print apart, and make you feel good about it. He could speak the plain truth if you needed it though, and didn't sugarcoat it if it needed to be said. The other thing I liked about Buddy was his attitude, his willingness to help. I'm not sure I ever saw him when he wasn't busy helping somebody do something, from print committee, to judging, to teaching, to just whatever was there to do.
I'm gonna miss his grin.

It was my priviledge to work with Buddy for 8 years on the SEPPA Board. The first time I shook his hand I was amazed by the size of his hands. As I came to know him I realized that the size of his hands were only excedded by the size of his heart. His dedication to SEPPA, print competition and the industry in general was evident in everything he did. You only have to see the names in this guest book to know the impact he made. My thoughts and prayers are with you Lola. Somewhere he is in Heaven with a huge ribeye in front of him...no hot spices.

Lola & Family - Buddy left a little bit of himself with all of us, from Mrs. Potts Pit to "holding the ticket on the blue tour," to just a warm "y'all". What a great example for us all to follow. He worked hard, he cared about us all and he lightened our hearts. But what I'll always remember was how he glowed when he talked of his family. You are in our prayers.
