Bobby Lovell Obituary
Bob was the son of the late Montie "Spot" James Lovell and Dona E. Lovell and the beloved brother of the late Wanda Sue Meritt, and Phyllis Lovell (Thomas Gary Sheets). He was deeply loved by his late in-laws, Donald and Jemima Plummer, his late brother-in-law Gregory Lynn Plummer (Judy), his granddaughter Paige Sefried, and grandsons Nicholas Celiz (Natalie), Daniel Celiz (Emma), Dustin Sefried (Lindsey), and Tyler Sefried. Bob loved and cherished his great-grandchildren Weston Celiz and Willa Celiz.
Bob was a beloved and respected family member and friend to everyone. He will be deeply missed by all who know him. Bob attended Stagg High School and furthered his education in the Air Force, American River College, and San Joaquin Delta College. He had a passion for photography, track & field, mission trips to Argentina, and traveling. Bob attended River Rock Fellowship in Woodbridge.
Bob was a communications technician with AT&T beginning in the early 1970's and retired in 2004. During and after his military service, Bob competed as a decathlete and competed at the national level in track & field. Bob's skills as an electronic technician in the 1960's allowed him to be a part of the Apollo Space Program where he was instrumental in working on the wiring for the third stage of the Saturn V rocket. Outside of his career, Bob was an avid photographer of his grandchildren's sports, and his family has many memories of their sports careers.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Bob's life will be held at Vinewood Community Church, 1900 W Vine Street, Lodi, CA, on Saturday, June 7th, 2025, from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

So very sorry to hear of Bobby´s passing. He was an outstanding man and will be missed. His sister Phyllis and I were high school good friends and whenever I saw Bobby his great sense of humor cracked us up! Great guy
