Wilma Blair Obituary
Wilma Edna Blair, 95, of Stockton, CA entered eternal rest on June 12, 2025. She passed away peacefully in her sleep. Born September 14, 1929 in Robbins CA to Neil and Ida Mekeel. She grew up on a family farm where her lifelong love of gardening took root. She shared childhood with sister Francis "Fran" (Frank) Staderoli and brother Neil (Barbara) Mekeel.
In 1947, Wilma married John Blair, Sr. She was a devoted homemaker and avid gardener, know for her abundant vegetable and flower gardens. She delighted in sharing her harvest with friends and family. They raised three children: Wanda Stephenson, Patricia (Hugh) Sherman and John Blair, Jr. She enjoyed watching her family grow and participated in their many activities.
A passionate traveler, Wilma loved the beauty of the U.S.. Alongside her husband, sister Fran and brother-in-law Frank, she embarked on many adventures in the western states, never missing a chance to take in the sights. Wilma was a proud grandmother to five: Kathleen (Vassillis) Livathinos, K.C. (Paul) Texeira, Kimberly (Ken) Burnthorn, Gavin Moore and Tyrell Blair. She was also blessed with four great- grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored and loved spending time with. Her extended family brought her great joy over the years.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Blair, Sr; sister, Francis Staderoli; and brother, Neil Mekeel.
In accordance with her wishes, Wilma's as well as her beloved poodle, Molly's ashes will be scattered at sea in Fort Bragg, CA, at a later date.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at The Oaks at Inglewood in Stockton and Seva Hospice for their compassionate care during Wilma's final days.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Seva Hospice at 5380 Pinole Rd., Suite 301A, Salida, CA. 95368 in memory of Wilma.
In her memory, we honor a life beautifully lived and a love that stood the test of time. In her final days, Wilma shared, "I want to dance again with your dad". They are now reunited, dancing together once more - This time, through eternity.
