Mary Nore Obituary

Mary Ann (Fetzek) Nore

MANSFIELD: Mary Ann (Fetzek) Nore 'showed up for life.' She lived each day as if it were her first and last. Chronologically, she was 74 years old, but her life, attitude, outlook, and relationships were ageless.
After spending a beautiful Lake Erie day sitting on her "hill,"" iced tea with many lemons in hand, Romeo (her beloved Golden-Doodle) beside her, Mary Ann was tragically taken from her beloved friends and family on her way home that evening.
Mary Ann was born March 24, 1943 to John & Helen (Gies) Fetzek in Buffalo, New York. Raised by her devout Catholic, single mother, Mary Ann was nurtured by this faith throughout her life, always preferring the liturgy of the Mass celebrated in Latin. After graduating from Mount Saint Mary Academy, she earned her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Education from The Ohio State University. On April 24, 1965, she married Darryll Breen Nore and spent 32 years with him, until his passing in 1997. After Kevin and Heather were ready for school, Mary Ann began her work career for the county and retired 30 years later as the Deputy Director of the Richland County Child Support Enforcement Agency. Mary Ann was past President of the Eastern Regional Interstate Child Support Association (ERICSA), one of the largest child support professional organizations in the country. She was also a member of the Ohio Family Support Association (OFSA), the National Child Support Enforcement Association (NCSEA) and an active member of the Ohio CSEA Director's Association. She also served as chair for the Ohio Child Support Awareness Network (OCEAN) and was past President of the Mansfield Area Y Board. On a local level, Mary Ann served on the City of Mansfield's Fair Housing Commission, worked on the United Way NAPAC Committee, and was a 1996 graduate of Richland Area Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Unlimited class.
Mary Ann was 'rabbi' to friends and family. Her wise counsel was sought by all, including those who did not want it - but that was Mary Ann. We loved her, despite. She was the litmus test we all wanted to pass. She was the natural magnet for fellowship.
Mary Ann always loved to be on the water, and traveled to many countries throughout her life. However, her ""trottage"" at Queen of the Lakes on Lake Erie was her preferred destination, with family and friends in tow. She treasured going on many vacations and trips with dear friends and especially with her granddaughter, Savannah. One of her many favorite pastimes was ""competitively collecting"" sea glass on the Lake Erie beach. She proudly tortured family and friends with some of her best sea glass, red and yellow. Unfortunately, she rarely found the coveted hue, cornflower blue.
Her beloved family includes her son, Kevin B. Nore of Alameda, CA; daughter, Heather B. Nore of Mansfield, OH; only granddaughter, Savannah B. Cinadr; two grand dogs, Leeloo and Tallulah; sister, Melissa and brother-in-law Robert Sievert of Ipswich, MA; nieces, Emily Sievert Reynolds and husband Justin Reynolds of Dolgeville, NY; Madeleine Sievert and Fiancé, Jack Harry of Astoria, NY; great-niece, Harper Reynolds; Bobby and Sharlene Neumann, Aaron and Collin Neumann; the Birthday Club ""A- Group,"" the Outer Banks ""B-Group,"" and numerous lifelong dear friends, alongside Peppermint Patty, her cat and Romeo, her beloved 6-month-old golden-doodle.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and Jack Russell Terrier, Buster and feline favorites, ""Stanley, Ju-Ju Bean, Sneakers, and Shitty Kitty.""
Everyone knew that Mary Ann's expectation for her family and friends in the event of her death, was to CELEBRATE her life, and make new MEMORIES. Therefore, in order to begin making those new memories, please join us in the healing celebration of her life, Mary Ann's family will receive friends Sunday, June 11, 2017 from 12 to 3 p.m. in the Finefrock Chapel of the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where a Celebration of Life honoring Mary Ann's life will follow. The Rev. Dan Dickman will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Mary Ann's memory, to the Richland County Humane Society, either through the funeral home or directly to the Humane Society.

Mary Ann you had a great attendance today honoring you and your accomplishments. I started in the welfare office when it was called that in April 1984 and in order to get a client had to go by your office everytime. Your kindness and words of wisdom I wish I had picked up and followed your examples. I made it but not without some difficulties. Thank you Thank you for all you have done in your young 74 years on this earth . May you rest in peace and your friends will certainly remember you for ever. One of my favorite prayers goes something like this: Direct us O, Lord, in our doings with thy most gracious favor AND further us with thy continual help that in all of our works, begun continued and ended in thee, we may glorify thy Holy Name through Christ Our Lord. AMEN.
GOD LOVE US AND WITH NO EXCEPTIONS

Heather, Kevin and Savannah,

My deepest sympathies on the death of your Mother/Grandmother. MaryAnn was such a special woman filled with love and joy. She joined our "Beach Gang" 20 years ago. From the moment we met, I knew I had found a special friend. Our times together at the beach were filled with laughter, good food and, of course, shopping. Spending days on the beach, looking for shells and playing in the waves were what we all treasured. MaryAnn deeply loved her family. I know that she is holding you all closely and watching over you. I will cherish her forever.
