Sara Siegfried Obituary

Sara Jane Siegfried, 86, of Fullerton traveled on December 31, 2020 from Fellowship Manor to Heaven where she is celebrating the New Year with Jesus and loved ones. She was the wife of Dr. Robert H. Siegfried who went to Heaven on August 14, 1982 and the fiance of Albert J. "Al" Cavosi who joined him on December 6, 2020. Born in Hanover Township, Sara was the only daughter of the late Luther O. and Thelma M. (Gibbon) Heckman. After graduating in 1952 from Catasauqua High School, Sara worked as a teller at the former Lehigh National Bank, Catasauqua until her marriage to Bob. She then began her career of a lifetime; full time Mom to Scott, Timothy, Todd and Heidi. As Bob worked hard to grow his dental practice, Sara worked right next to him as a receptionist after sending the children off to school. After working hard, she and Bob were able to enjoy the fruits of their labors with travel to Europe and Hawaii. After Bob's untimely death in 1982, Sara became Mom and Dad to her children. After they were grown, she worked part-time for Hallmark setting up card and ornament displays in local retail establishments. Sara was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ Fullerton. She was a life member of the Whitehall Woman's Club where she had served as Chaplain for many years. She was a member of the Red Hatter's, Senior Citizen's Group, and Golden Ager's of Saint Elizabeth, all of Whitehall.

Several years after Bob's death, Sara was blessed to have met Al and her family grew with the addition of two more children. Sara and Al enjoyed traveling abroad and within the United States with family and friends. They both could be counted on to be at their grandchildren's dance recitals; football, baseball and softball games. Whenever a family member or friend was in need, Sara was right there to lend a hand. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Survivors: Children, Scott R. Siegfried of Fullerton, Timothy J. Siegfried of Northampton, Todd D. Siegfried and his wife Sonya of Allentown, Heidi A. Abraham and her husband Joseph of Fullerton; Al's children, Mary Beth O'Dea and her husband Edward of Schnecksville, Joseph A. Cavosi and his wife Trisha of Reading; cherished grandchildren, Trevor, Anika, Stefan, Britta, Brielle, Sam and Claire; 11 cherished great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Saundra Heckman of Breinigsville; nephews; nieces; cousins and 3 great grand dogs. She was predeceased by brothers, Luther O. "Sandy" Heckman, Jr. and Larry R. Heckman.

Funeral Services, calling period and her interment with Bob will be private due to COVID-19 restrictions.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Sara's memory to St. John's United Church of Christ Fullerton, 575 Grape Street, Whitehall, PA 18052.
