Peter Stromer Obituary

STROMER, Peter Robert-- loving father of Philip and Daniel Stromer of San Jose, passed away Friday, January 25, 2002, at the age of 72, at his home in Los Gatos, surrounded by his family. Peter was born and raised in Connecticut, attending the Norwich Free Academy, then enlisting in the Army at the age of 17, becoming a decorated WWII Veteran. After serving his country, he graduated from Syracuse University, then moved out to Washington State, then finally settling permanently in California.
He later attended Lincoln Law School in San Jose, becoming an attorney and law professor at his alma mater. Eventually retiring in 1996 due to a stroke, Peter spent his leisure time reading, playing chess, watching old movies, and strolling the beaches with his longtime companion, Norma Bell. The Labradors would usually be in tow.
Peter is survived by his two sons, Daniel and Philip. Friends are invited to attend services today at 2:00 p.m. at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 West McCabe Road, Gustine, California. Interment to immediately follow.

I think of you often, Dad. Especially playing catch in our backyard on Alvin Street in Mountain View when I was a kid. You were very patient with me as I learned how to harness my control.
