Our hearts are heavy, as we just learned of Peter's passing. A feeling of emptiness and loss suddenly overcomes us. But Peter, now with Anne, surely rests in eternal peace in that glorious paradise God created precisely for good souls like Peter and Anne.

We sensed there was something wrong, as Peter had uncharacteristically not responded to several email messages, one sent recently for Thanksgiving.

Peter and Anne were not only dear friends, they were also Godparents of our younger daughter, Kathleen. Peter and Anne were warm, loving and inspiring people. Thanks to Peter and Anne, the world is a better place. All those privileged to have known Peter and Anne are beneficiaries of their goodness, kindness and remarkable faith. As everyone knows, their faith and the church were central to their lives.

Peter and Anne lived their faith; they lived God's Will.

Extraordinary people like Peter and Anne Kennedy do not come our way often. They lived exemplary lives and elevated the spirits of all those around them. They were the sort of people who made you feel better just by being with them.

Peter's devoted love for Anne was obvious. After Anne's passing, we are sure Peter was eager to embrace Anne again in heaven. We can hear Peter saying, I've done all I can here. God's calling.

And knowing Anne, she probably said, It's about time you got here, Peter!

While we will greatly miss Peter, we take solace in knowing that Peter now enjoys eternal paradise with Anne. And knowing Peter, we are sure he is praying for all those he left behind, putting in a good word for us at every opportunity. (Thank you, Peter.)

Peter told us once, No prayer is a wasted prayer, even short ones. So we try to follow his good advice and pray. Often.

Our family was truly blessed to have Peter and Anne play such important roles in our lives. We will be forever grateful.

We extend our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Peter's family, especially Cathy, Michael, Kristen, Sean, Brian, Elizabeth and Mary. May they and other family members be comforted by loving memories of Peter and the precious gift of his enduring legacy.

As Peter would say, All God's blessings.

Peter was a patient and fried of mine and was the kindest person when he would come in to visit. He was always so positive and always smiling you would never know about his health with his bright spirit. Will miss you Peter, it was a pleasure meeting him
