PAUL M. STATUM "PAUL BUNYON"
AGE: 77 SOMERSET
Paul M. Statum "Paul Bunyon", 77, of Somerset died on Thursday, April 15, 2010, at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, New Brunswick. He was born in Montezuma, GA and resided in Somerset since 1988, formerly of New Brunswick. He was a retired truck driver for AAA Trucking, Raritan, NJ. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, Somerset, member of the Traffic, Information, Parking Security Ministry at church; member of the National African American RV Association; Royal Campers Chapter.
He is survived by his wife, Carole "Peaches" Statum; three children, Douglas Statum (Xandra) of Easton, PA, Corey Statum (Carla) of Somerset, and Kellie Statum of Princeton; two sisters, Mattie Privett of Somerset, and Helen Ferguson of Brunswick, GA; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren; A goddaughter, Danette Martin (Anthony) of Somerset.
Arrangements are by Anderson Funeral Service, 201 Sandford St., New Brunswick. Service on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 10AM at First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, 771 Somerset St., Somerset. Viewing on Saturday from 9-10AM at the church. Burial at Franklin Memorial Park Mausoleum, North Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Paul Statum's Memorial Scholarship Fund, 22 Kossuth St., Somerset.

Carole, Paul will be really missed. Even thou I did not see him as much as I like to, when I did see him he had me laughing all the time as he did when we were younger. He was a great loving cousin, all the family are in my prayers. God will take of you.
