Glenn Edward Sampson
WILSON — Mr. Glenn Edward Sampson, 39, of 115 Garwin Drive, Wilson, was born Nov. 21, 1977, and departed this life for his heavenly home on Dec. 9, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Nancy Morgan Sampson.
Mr. Sampson was a graduate of Purnell Swett High School (1996) and earned his B.S. degree in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke (2000). He was an employee of BB&T in Wilson. He was a member of Harpers Ferry Baptist Church of Pembroke. As a young adult, he was active in both youth programs and the youth choir. Glenn was a loving son, a devoted brother and a compassionate friend. He spent his life selflessly serving all those around him.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Harpers Ferry Baptist Church, the Rev. Donald Bullard and Bro. John Dial officiating. Burial will follow in the Lumbee Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Sampson is survived by his father, Mr. Gilbert L. Sampson; three brothers, Mr. Gregory L. Sampson (Kristin), Mr. Christopher S. Sampson, Mr. Daniel O. Sampson (Ana); a sister, Mrs. Juliana Samspon Feltz (Matthew); and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.

There are no words that can express or help you cope with your grief at this time. Glenn was a dear and a very special friend who always took time out for all of his friends. I am going to miss him immensely. May his memories live on forever and know that his good works here on earth as he took care of us all.. will continue as he is now a Guardian Angel for Everyone he loved and cared for.
