Aimee Ripley Obituary

Aimee Hayden Ripley -MACON - Aimee Hayden Ripley, 93, died Sunday. Funeral services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Riverside United Methodist Church, 735 Pierce Avenue, Macon 31210. -Mrs. Ripley was the wife for sixty-six years of the late Clarence Arthur Ripley and was born in Hattiesburg, MS the daughter of the late James P. Hayden and Martha E. Cotton Hayden. An elementary school teacher, she received a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Counseling from Kent State at the age of fifty-one. Mrs. Ripley had lived in Macon the past eight years and was of the Methodist Faith. -Survivors include her daughters, Nancy (Jack) Murdock of Macon, Virginia Smith of Brunswick and Phyllis Fried of Portsmouth, OH; her son, Art Ripley, Jr. of Oberlin, OH; twelve grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. -Visit www.mem.com to express tributes. -Snow's Memorial Chapel Funeral and Cremation Services, Cherry Street has charge of arrangements.

To know the daughter, it has been said, is to know the mother. Mrs. Ripley, then, was a great woman and will be missed by a host of friends, as well as family, gathered over nearly a century of life lived in the Christian Faith. She is now a child in the Easter Story.
