We love and miss you dad. A true grandpa, dad, and friend. Thank you for all of your guidance, and thank you for always being there when we needed you. No better person to have in your corner. Forever will you be remembered and loved.

Alan was an outstanding person to know! " I first met him in the eighth grade and we remained friends throughout our school years. Together with Jim Rheim we ran for school office that first year at Hilltop High School. We formed a 'party' and called ourselves "ALJISU". We won! It was a busy, hectic, and fun senior year for us all. Alan contributed much, to his school and to his community. What a nice person! My condolences to his family. Susan Herney

We were close friends our senior year at Hilltop High school in Chula Vista, CA. Had lots of shared experiences during that special year in our lives. After graduation in 1860, I went off to college in another state and Alan remained in San Diego for school. We were able to stay in touch fur a while but as he said 60 years later when we reconnected at a school reunion, youth and distance kept us from remaining touch.
