Alec Hilman Obituary
He is survived by his parents Glenn Hilman and Laura Boyd of Houston. He is also survived by his grandparents Mel and Joan Hilman, aunt & uncle Mark and Shawna Hilman, cousins Paige & Chayse Hilman, all of Tucson, AZ. Grandparents Ruben and Brenda Boyd of Kingwood, TX, uncle Michael Boyd, cousin Hudson Boyd of The Woodlands, and many other cousins.
The Hilman family will be present to receive friends Monday, June 2, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Chapelwood United Methodist Church, 11140 Greenbay St., Houston, TX 77024. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Chapelwood United Methodist Church. Private burial services will be held at Memorial Oaks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to honor Alec may be made to Chapelwood United Methodist Church Youth Ministries. 11140 Greenbay St, Houston, TX 77024. I am so very sorry for your tremendous loss. Alec had the best parents in the world whose love and caring nature taught him how to be so wonderful to others. I had the pleasure of working with Alec for several months in the musical production, "Once On This Island, Jr." He was so excited about the free dance he was planning to do with the other cast members at the end of the song "Ti Moune's Dance". He told me, "I want to do this dance for my Mom!" You should have seen him dance! His enthusiastic "island moves" across the floor in front of the stage were a heartfelt gift to his Mom, Laura, and and a joy for the audience to watch. I know he will keep dancing in heaven, but we will miss his joyful spirit on this Earth!
