GeneralAlfred J.Cade, I was your driver for the 5 years that you were a Corps Artillery Commander in both 7TH Corps and 5Th Corps Artillery. I learned so much from you , during our long drives to meetings or conferences. I not only think of often,b it your entire family.I loved you and your wonderful family! Your teachings follow me to this day! I miss you and this is to let you know how much your thought of still, as i reach my senior years.

Ella Owens Williams, graduated from Greensville County High School in Emporia, Virginia. Alfred "Ted" Cade was our friend and leader. He was a kind and special person for all of us in our high school '48 class.

General Cade, I miss our conversations and being your driver for 5 years , while stationed in Germany Thank You Sir, for all of your guidance of a young soldier. I felt like you always treated me like a me of your family! I will always keep your memory alive , as I think of you very often! Make you rest in peace. Sir!

I was in the B Battery, 4th Missile Battalion, 1962, Edison New Jersey. Captain Cade was CO. I remember him as a good Commanding Officer. I was the company clerk, duty driver to pick him up on occasion etc.

I am sadden by the news of BG Cade´s passing!! I served under this GREAT LEADER and COMMANDER for 5 year´s of my young military career in Germany. I was SELECTED as his driver , By CSM Fiffe while serving in the 7TH Army, 210th Field Artillery Group ,in the town of Herzogenach. Then Full Bird Colonel Cade and I formed a wonderful working relationship. He helped me transform from a young man, into a SOLDIER! Col.Cade was my MENTOR! I served him with PRIDE and HONOR!! My Commanding officer at the 1St. Bn. 92 Artillery in Vietnam was Ltd.Col. Alfred J. Cade , simply the most outstanding military officer that I had the pleasure of serving under. In combat he was an exemplary commander and as a 2nd and 1st. Lt. I am so grateful to have been under his command. General Cade was a warrior and fine person whose leadership skills impresses me to this day. RIP SIR!
