Allen Beams Obituary

Allen James Beams
December 19, 1990 - July 6, 2014
Allen (A.J.) was born December 19, 1990 to Tim & Robin Beams and big sister, Mindy. Little did we know we would lose him all too soon on July 6, 2014 to undetected advanced heart disease in a life that was not long enough. For those left behind, Allen lived a life full of laughter, love, adventure, and joy. He brought all these things and much more to everyone who knew him. Making others laugh and smile was what he lived for. Allen graduated from Vallivue High School in 2009 where he excelled at academics and sports, earning a 4.0 grade average while playing a starting position on the football team all four years. After leaving high school, he embarked on many adventures and careers and was still trying to decide what he wanted to be when he "grew up".
Tim and Robin would part ways in 2003. Allen's family grew when his dad, Tim, married again and brought 2 brothers, Tim and Caleb, into the mix. The boys had no idea they already knew each other from Vallivue High School. Caleb and Allen had met when Allen asked Caleb for money to buy popcorn. Allen was never shy or hesitant to ask for what he needed or wanted; neither was he bashful about doing whatever he could to bring a smile to someone else's face. Allen had a big heart and loved people.
Robin would also marry again to Bill Robertson and bring 3 more siblings into Allen's life; Cliff, Stephanie, and Tom. Allen never differentiated between any of his siblings - He loved them all. Everything about Allen was 100%. Allen will be greatly missed and his memory cherished by all that knew him.
He is survived by his parents, Tim and Eda Beams, and Robin and Bill Robertson; his brothers: Cliff, Tim, Tom and Caleb; his sisters: Stephanie and Mindy; nephews: Victor and Robbie; grandparents: James and Anita Shores, Melvin and Jane Hall and Louise Breshears; and, too many aunts, uncles, cousins to list.
A celebration of Allen's life will be held at Grace Bible Church, 1415 Lone Star, Nampa ID at 3 pm Monday, July 14. All of Allen's friends are invited to join us in remembering this vibrant, amazing young man.

My continued prayers for A.J.s family in the days, months and years ahead. I first met Allen as a precocious, darling little 2 year old neighbor who visited often with his sister and was always a joy! Fast forward the years, running into AJ at VHS events or Lowes, he became an amazing young man who always put family and friends first as was shown at the memorial service. I am thankful to AJ's family for sharing him with all of us... He will be missed greatly, by all who knew him!

I met A.J. in May of 2008, when my family and I moved across the street from Bill and Robin. What a handsome, warm, funny, wonderful young man. Robin and I would laugh as A.J. and Tom would fight for a spot in the garage to watch my daughter, Kody Jo, wash her car! Our two families became wonderful friends, and Robin and I became true buddies. I don't have the words to say how sorry I am and what a horrible loss this is, to everyone who ever had the privilege of meeting A.J. and to those who never will. I never saw A.J. without a huge smile on his handsome face and hearing his laughter from across the street always made me smile. xoxoxoxox A.J. You will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

AJ is the blessing my daughter Cassidy prayed for and I could not have asked for a better gentleman to show so much happiness, love and compassion to her. I will remember him from high school sporting events but even more so because he told me he couldn't come visit Cassidy's family in Oklahoma until he turned 25....in case we didn't like him he wasn't old enough to rent a car until then but he needed a back up plan to get his butt back to the airport. (like he could have ever been an unlikeable kind of guy.) This alone goes to show his solid, true and genuine character of the amazing soul he was. I will never forget the angel he was and will forever be to my daughter and to everyone who knew him. From our family to yours, our deepest condolences, prayers, hugs and thank you for raising such an amazing young man.

AJ was a great friend and coworker. We worked closely together and saw each other every day as our schedules were aligned. He was like a son and brother to me, and was part of our work family. I can still hear his laughter. I will miss joking around with him and seeing his huge happy grin. I wish I could be there to say my goodbyes. I can't imagine how difficult it is to lose a son and brother, but I do know that it hurts so much to lose a friend.

One time AJ and I had been talking on the phone for an hour or so.. I told him to hold on and I set down the phone to focus on something with the computer... only to forget I was on the phone at all. He then sat on "hold" listening to me sing my heart out for 35 minutes. (So, so embarrassing!) Church every week and basketball at Lakeview Park.. Myself in jealous awe when he shows up in his car, only because I was the older one… or as I sat on the front porch and there AJ was exclaiming for the world to hear that my step mom was “hot”(thanks a lot .. she never let that one go haha).

I cherish the memories I have and my heart goes out to the family. It was way too soon, but not short of the happiness he brought to myself and any one that knew him… Truly blessed that I had the chance to be a part of Allen's life for many years.

Love you AJ!

AJ had the most amazing smile and personality. I absolutely loved working with this amazing man! It wasn't until he moved to Oregon that we became closer as friends, texting and sending silly SnapChat pictures. In some of my darkest moments I feel like he could sense my despair that far away and I would get a random text from him that would make me tear up with such love in my heart. I was so excited to hear he was planning on moving back! The loss of AJ on this world is huge and he was taken away too soon. But he obviously was needed for a much bigger, important role in heaven. And we all know his beard will be even more epic in Heaven. My heart goes out to his family for your loss. I hope that peace finds your hearts soon. Much Love to all of you.

So sorry for your terrible loss. AJ had become very dear to my good friend Cassidy. In the short time that they got to spend with each other, I had never seen her happier. Their relationship put a smile on her face that never seemed to go away! I was looking forward to meeting him when he traveled to Boise soon. I can't imagine the loss you are feeling. My prayers are with all of you in this difficult time.

I worked with Allen at Lowe's. He had a great sense of humor and was very genuine. He was one of the few people I was always really happy to see and enjoyed talking to. I am so saddened that he is gone. RIP AJ.

My deepest sympathies to the Beams family and friends. I had the pleasure of being Allen's teacher for four years -- 6th to 9th grade. I remember when he was a 7th grader the principle came to me and asked if he could put Allen in my class. He had been having problems in another room. I said yes but he would have to promise to behave! Allen ended up being an awesome student! I remember him sitting at the end of the table working on his cross stitch, yes, his cross stitch, while carrying on a discussion with other students about current events, movies, etc. When he went up to the high school, I moved to a teaching position there and we use to have chair races around the second floor hallways! We never got caught! I'll never forget him and he'll always be one of my "favorite students!"

I only knew Allen in passing, but always remember him with a smile. Allen played football with my younger brother. Allen truly protected my brother during football games. As a big sister watching from the stands it was hard to watch my brother take some of those hits. Thank you Allen for taking a lot of those hits instead. Some may say it was only high school football but to the team, family and friends it was much more! You are gone to soon, but your family and friends will have amazing memories to share! Prayers to Allens family!

AJ was an amazing asset to our store who will be missed by all. He came to work every day and lit it up with his smile. He was very determined, confident, and amazingly funny. As one of his supervisors, I can honestly say the store will not be the same, but our lives are richer to have been graced with him for our short time. My deepest condolences to all his family. Thank you for sharing you amazing son, brother, grandson, and uncle with us. Prayers to all of you. God bless you AJ. You will be missed.
