Allen Price Walker
Allen Price Walker, 77, of Lynchburg, passed Monday, March 12, 2007, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Talbert Walker of Lynchburg.
Born June 15, 1929, in Bedford County, he was the son of the late Alonza Radford Walker and the late Callie Fornia Crouch Walker. Mr. Walker was retired from the J. H. Cothran Co. and was a member of the Thomas Road Baptist Church 50 Plus Ministry.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Pattie Viar Walker; two sisters, Mary Louise Walker and Pauline Walker Arthur; and by two brothers, Issac Benjamin Walker and Gilford R. Walker.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Walker is survived by one sister, Beulah Irby; and two brothers, Amos G. Walker and James E. Walker.
A funeral service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2007, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel by the Rev. Roy Newman. Private interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
